What is the central difference between Class D and Class G?+
Class D is tied to specific employment by a specific employer and requires an employment and skills case. Class G is for a person engaging in a specific trade, business or consultancy and requires investment evidence, including at least USD 100,000.
Does depositing USD 100,000 guarantee a Class G permit?+
No. The capital threshold is one requirement. The applicant must also support the business, corporate, tax, licensing, ownership and immigration case, and approval remains discretionary.
Can a permit route be changed while in Kenya?+
A change may be possible, but the applicant’s current status, existing permit conditions, timing and new route should be reviewed before steps are taken.
